Favorite Quotes

I like to collect quotes; quotes that I like are those that inspire me to become better. I am always amazed by how people can put their thoughts into precise words.

For example, there are lots of interruptions at work; when people came to me with their problems, I used to think "I don't have time for this. I have other priorities!"

Then I read a quote: "imagine everyone has an invisible sign hanging from their neck saying, 'Make me feel important.'”

That changes my perspective: I need to treat people the way I want to be treated, which is treating people with respect and patience. Now I try to listen to people and understand their needs; if I cannot respond to their questions right away, I will make sure that their questions will be answered.
