I: Interviewer
A: Applicant, that is me
I: Can you please introduce yourself?
(This would be the first question in every interview.
After I met my waterloo in the first interview, I know i should have a draft before the meeting.)
I: Why do you want to change your job?
(This is also a question of must. But I would say I do not answer well in my previous interviews. There are many books for job seekers listing out some ”model answers” for this question. Although most of them sound disgusting and deceptive, I think I should record and play some of them next time.)
I: Would you also consider other positions other than that you applied for, such as the administrator?
A: Um... I would like to know what are the duties of the position before I could have a decision.
I: Ar~ An administrator is responsible to do some administrative duties.
A: ....
(Actually I am bewildered and confused by the job title and the duties related to the title. I could only watch her with a dropped jaw after she replied. Thanks for the interviewer’s kind explanation, I learn one more vocabulary without understanding its meaning.)
I: What are you looking for in your next job?
(Well, actually, I just want to earn a living.
Obviously, such an answer would not be appreciated. It only reveals one’s lacking in ambition.)
