生日啊生日
每一個人都有生日日，有人會在這一日裡慶生，有人不會…，已經好幾年不做生日的我，也常常搞不清楚自己的生日應該要在那一日做，因為，證件上的日期是晚報，而人在西方的我，是到底要做國曆的呢?還是要做農曆的呢?干脆都不做，省事也清閒…，今年呢，由於老美朋友幫我不少忙，知道我證件上的出生日期，雖然不是真正出生的日子，但，她們非常的有心，早在三週前，就已經計劃著要為我慶生了，白天有老美朋友要帶我出去，晚上則另有老美朋友，刻意在其府裡為我辦餐會…，非常感謝她們的用心，令我無比歡躍…
任何的緣份，都是不可思議的，如果沒來夏威夷，一輩子裡不可能會和這些人成為朋友，不同宗教、不同膚色，卻也能成為朋友，人生的因緣真是奇妙啊…最近認識了有兩位新朋友，一位是大學才畢業，曾經到台北師大學習半年中文，她父親是日本人，母親是中國人，父親尚會講一些日文，母親則完全不會中文了，所以，她一週會過來一次，她教我英文、我教她中文，所以她會一些日文和中文了，很可愛的一位好孩子…。
另一位是越南太太，她也會一點點中文，她要想學中文和了解佛教宗旨，現在，我們則每天在信箱裡往返，都是用英文交流，但，有很多中文是英文無法「淋漓盡致」表達的，真在摸索著如何用英文盡善的把中文的意思給呈現出來，語言和語言之間的隔亥，有時真的有它的侷限性，只能盡量表達到不要差太遠了…。
生日，其實是母難日，母親為生我們而受苦的日子，應該是要感念母親的辛苦，所以這一日都會誦唸經文迴向給母親，至於聚會呢，其實只是借它之名和朋友們聚聚而已，平日少有機會好好大家聚聚，就利用這樣的生日日子了…，謝謝朋友的您們，如此用心，無任感荷…

This year, because the old beautiful friend many helps me to be busy, knows in my credential the date of birth, although is not the true birth day, but, their unusual having a mind, as early as in front of three weeks, already planned must celebrate for me has lived, daytime had the old beautiful friend to have to lead me to exit, evening then in addition had the old beautiful friend, sedulously met in its government office for my managing meal... Extremely thank their intention, makes me incomparably to be elated...
Any reason share, all is inconceivable, if has not come Hawaii, in is for a lifetime impossible to be able to become the friend with these people, the different religion, the different skin color, actually also can become the friend, the life cause really is marvelous...
Recently had known has two new friends, was the university only then graduates, once arrived the Taibei normal university to study half year Chinese, her father was the Japanese, the mother is the Chinese, father Shang Hui speaks some Japaneses, the mother then completely could not Chinese, therefore, a her week could come a time, she taught me English, I teaches her Chinese, therefore she spoke some Japaneses and Chinese, a very lovable good child... . Another is Vietnamese wife, she also speaks a spot Chinese, she must want to study Chinese and to understand the Buddhism objective, now, we every day then go and return in the mailbox, all is with English exchange, but, has very many Chinese is English is unable "incisively" the expression, really in tried to find out how friendly uses English for to present Chinese meaning, between the language and the language separates the twelfth branch, sometimes really has its limitation, only can show as far as possible achieved the important duty too has not been far... .
The birthday, actually is mother difficult day, the mother for lives the day which we suffers hardships, should be must think of gratefully mother’s labor, therefore this on can read aloud reads the religious texts reverberation to give the mother, as for the meeting, actually only is borrows it the name and the friends gathers, ordinary day unusual opportunity well everybody gathers, used such birthday day...
