The Story of Quill

Went to watch "The Story of Quill" with a friend of mine two weeks ago, but didnt' have an opportunity to share my feelings yet. Well. It's about time. Just by looking at the poster, I knew I would have to watch it. I actually didn't hold much expectation before entering the theater. My friend jokingly suggested me to prepare lots of Tempos, as she claimed I would cry in the middle of the movie. The result was, I didn't, but I heard some GUYS on my back did.

It's based on a true story about a guidedog, Quill, on how he was chosen to be a guidedog and its friendship built with its master. Although Quill was a well-trained, talented guidedog, its master didn't (or didn't know how to) appreciate in the beginning. I guess I thought too much about careers and companies at that time, that I actually felt sorry for Quill, that it wasn't able to show its full talent in its job.......(I know I went too far...)

A dog's life expectancy is much shorter than human beings, however Quill faced the death of its master in real life. That was a very touching yet real scene. Life is about death, isn't it? The theater was silent for a few minutes, then sounds of sobbing here and there.

I would say, I like this movie, not because it's touching, but because its down-to-earthness touched me. Animals (especially dogs) are very cute indeed. However, later I made dreams of petting a dog without feeding it for months. Those were nightmares.
