I pray for your love but

what I got is empty;

I long for your kiss but

what I got is a pinch.


I wait for your call but

what I got is a miss call;

I predict you will pick my call but

I ended up in a voicemail box.


I ask you out for a date but

you give me various excuses and doubts;

I am sad and need your comfort but

you turn out to be laughing out loud.


I expect a sweet goodnight but

what I get is a nudge;

Everything is just my imagination

perhaps I should give my face a punch.
