这首歌播放时，是女主角Gabriella误会男主角Troy只是戏弄她的感情是唱的。对Troy一见钟情她，因为一首歌的缘故，开始了他们的交情。可是Troy扮演的是，篮球队内的重要人物，队友们怕他会分心，所以制造了一个陷局让Troy说出一些让Gabriella误会的话语。
