History of Contemporary Carpets and Green area rugs

 

 

 

One of the most influential visitors to modern carpets and rugs is William Morris. He considered carpet an art rather than just a floor covering. His advocation of the total masterpiece of design reconditioned interest in traditional craftsmanship. This Martial arts styles and Crafts movement became known throughout Europe, and became influential in every country.

 

The Art Nouveau movement was characterized by highly-stylized, flowing, curvilinear designs, often incorporated floral and other plant-inspired motifs. It had several changes and became the walls of the Modernists movement.

 

Paris, europe , became the center of Avante Garde, Fauvism and Cubism, which broke with the traditional Art Deco that was purely decorative. At that time, the Art Deco style was known as elegant, functional, and ultra modern.

 

Fauvism, was characterized by the imaginative use of deep color's and things to consider lines. Gustave Moreau was the movement's inspirational teacher and Henri Matisse was considered one of his top students. In Cubism, artwork objects are broken up, analyzed, and re-assembled in an abstracted form. The innovation of Cubism was a joint effort between Picasso and Braque Carpet store in Dubai. Some believe that the roots of Cubism will be found in the two distinct tendencies of Robert Cezanne's later work.

 

Functional textile Design began in Germany at the Bauhaus, the first school of industrial design. This school maintained close ties with a lot of contemporary artists such as Robert Klee and Vasily Kandinsky. This school was headed up by Gunta Stolzl who arranged designs with broken areas of top to bottom and side to side lines.

 

After the First World War and the mechanization of labor, the French in particular dedicated to luxurious tailor made green area rugs. Art Deco green area rugs became the center of attention of a room, with at first densely floral patterns, then intricate geometric patterns. In The uk the Martial arts styles and Crafts movement continued to dominate into the 1920's, then abated to be succeeded by Modernism.

 

In america, designers assisted to be overwhelmed by their Eu counterparts. Frank Lloyd Wright served as a link between Martial arts styles and Crafts and modern design. He stayed at loyal to organic design, which echoed geometric's in architectural mastery, and design in green area rugs.
